Welcome to Agile Compliance
A Resource for Compliance and Technology Professionals
If you are involved in compliance at your business, you may have found the intersection of compliance and technology to be a confusing environment. While compliance and technology naturally touch each other often in the process of meeting the requirements of Sarbanes Oxley, HIPAA and other regulations, the specifics of making it all work can be frustrating to figure out. The goal of this website is to provide working professionals in the fields of information technology, accounting, and law with the information resources they need to get their jobs done.
Our further goal is to help illuminate ways to attain compliance in businesses without sacrificing strategic agility.
What is Agile Compliance?
Agile Compliance is an answer to one of the great challenges facing business leaders today:
How can you make your business compliant with the law without locking down your operations to the point where you are no longer agile enough to realize your strategic objectives?
Agile Compliance refers to the practices and processes, especially those involving information technology, that can give you the agility you need to achieve your business goals but remain in compliance with the battery of state, federal, and international laws that affect your business.
The concept of Agile Compliance was developed by Hugh Taylor, Vice President of SOA Software and author of The Joy of SOX: Why Sarbanes Oxley and Service-Oriented Architecture May be the Best Thing That Ever Happened to You (Wiley, 2006) and co-author, with Eric Pulier, of Understanding Enterprise SOA (Manning, 2005)
